Tickets for events held at the Appalachian Theatre may be purchased online at AppTheatre.org ETIX is the official ticketing partner of the Appalachian Theatre of the High Country, and the only approved ticketing service for this facility and its events.

Tickets for events at the Appalachian Theatre of the High Country are sold exclusively through the theatre box office and online at AppTheatre.org . We DO NOT partner with third party sellers. We DO NOT accept tickets sold on a secondary market. We reserve the right to decline entry if you are not the original ticket buyer.

Tickets purchased from alternative sources may be any or all of the following:

·          Not authentic

·          Over-priced

·          Invalid (cannot be used to enter the event)

The Appalachian Theatre of the High Country (ATHC) is not responsible for tickets purchased from third party vendors and is not able to honor, replace, or refund invalid tickets. Please purchase your tickets from only approved sources.

Please note that the only authorized sales agents for ATHC are the ATHC Online Box Office, On-site Lobby Box Office,  ETIX.com, and Venue-Participating Artists/Events.

COUNTERFEIT & INVALID TICKETS:

Invalid tickets/barcodes may be confiscated by the ATHC Box Office after an invalid scan. A copy of the invalid ticket may be used to alert the point of purchase. Guests will be provided a copy of the invalid ticket upon request.

Guests with invalid tickets are welcome to purchase new tickets at the box office. Seat inventory, location, and price are subject to availability.

Guests are strongly encouraged to report counterfeit ticket sales to the location of the ticket purchase and to consumer protection agencies.

WILL CALL & IN-PERSON BOX OFFICE:

Tickets may be picked up at the ATHC Box Office Will Call window one hour prior to the event start time or during daytime business hours Tues. – Fri. 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. .  Please provide photo ID, the credit card used to make the purchase, and, when possible, your order confirmation.

If a Will Call order is being picked-up by someone other than the ticket purchaser, the ticket purchaser must provide that person’s name to the ATHC Box Office.  

Please note:

  • There are additional convenience, handling, & processing fees per ticket for events held at the Appalachian Theatre. For some events, these fees may be reduced or excluded.

  • Fees apply to both online and in-person transactions.

  • 6.75% NC sales tax is added to the price of each ticket unless otherwise noted.

  • These fees may change or promoters may add additional fees. Please read the event description for specific pricing and details.

  • All patrons, regardless of age, are required to have a ticket for admission into the theatre for any event or concert. For children’s or family events, see the event listing for specific age-related ticketing requirements.

  • For most performances at the Appalachian, children are defined as age 12 and under and seniors are 60 and over, unless otherwise stated in the event listing.

The Appalachian Theatre has two levels of seating. The lower orchestra section features continental seating. The balcony has 3 sections of seating, left, center and right. All wheelchair accessible spaces are located in the orchestra section. Balcony access requires the use of stairs.

ADA ACCESSIBILITY & SEATING:

The Appalachian Theatre offers limited wheelchair accessible and companion seating. Accessible seating may be purchased in-person or by calling the ATHC Box Office. Please review our accessible seating locations on the theatre seating chart (above). Contact the ATHC Box Office at 828-865.3000 with questions.

IMPORTANT NOTE: There is no elevator access to the balcony level of the theatre. Patrons requiring wheelchair or semi-ambulatory seating, or those unable to utilize stairs, should purchase tickets in the orchestra level of the theatre.

PHOTO & VIDEO STATEMENT: Please be advised that the Appalachian Theatre may film or take still photos at any event at the venue for venue promotional, marketing, security, or archival uses. If you attend, you may appear, and you agree to appear without compensation, in any and all media now known or later devised, worldwide, in perpetuity, including in advertisements and promotions. Please do not attend if you do not wish to appear. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

House Policies & Information:

  • Tickets to events at the Appalachian Theatre are also available for purchase online, by phone or in person through ETix. Tickets purchased online, in-person, or by phone are subject to a per-ticket handling charges.

  • Please check your tickets carefully for the correct event, date and time. All sales are final and we are unable to exchange tickets between events. Refunds are issued only in the event of artist cancellation. Handling charges are non-refundable.

  • Everyone, regardless of age, is required to have a ticket.

  • Patrons with electronic devices that emit light or make an audible noise, like smart watches, laptops and cell phones, are requested to turn them off before entering the facility.

  • Cameras and recording equipment are not permitted.

  • Tobacco products and vaping is not permitted.

  • Weapons and firearms are not permitted.

  • As a courtesy to artists and patrons, latecomers will not be seated until an appropriate interval in the performance.

  • The Appalachian Theatre’s Orchestra level, Community Room and Main Lobby and restrooms are handicapped accessible. Service animals are welcome.

Inclement Weather Policy: The performance will be held as scheduled, unless the artist is unable to travel or a state of emergency has been declared which would prevent the audience from traveling to the theatre.
