Thank you for your interest in working at the Appalachian Theatre! Established in 1938, the Appalachian Theatre is located in the heart of downtown, Boone, North Carolina and which is home to Appalachian State University, Grandfather Mountain and the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. After an extensive $10M renovation, the new Appalachian Theatre reopened in October 2019 as the only independent performing arts center in Watauga County. The 20,000 square foot theatre complex houses a 629-seat theatre, large multipurpose hall and hosts programs that include presented concerts, plays and films and a wide variety of community sponsored events.
