IMPROVED VENTILATION: Our new facility-wide Bipolar Ionization System can kill up to 99.9% of viruses on every air cycle through out HVAC system. Upgraded MERV filters scrub the air and increased outside air venting efficiently provides outdoor air.
REDUCED CONTACT: Your touch-less tickets may be printed at home or shown to the usher on your mobile device. Our concession stands also provide touch-free options for check-out.
CLEANING & SANITIZING: The building is thoroughly cleaned following each event and hand sanitizer is provided throughout the building.
BUY WITH CONFIDENCE: Tickets are refunded for events that are rescheduled, cancelled or if you are feeling unwell the day of the show.

Guidelines are subject to change at any time, and may vary from show to show as some artists may require more stringent measures for their shows . Please refer to your preshow email for the latest policies applicable to your event. Guests agree to abide by the protocols in place at the time of a performance. The Appalachian Theatre may refund the purchase price, refuse admission, or remove a guest from the venue for failure to follow any health and safety measures in effect at the time of the show.

Why is the Appalachian Theatre enacting these policies?
COVID-19 protocols for event venues reflect the best practices within our industry, the requirements of state and local governments and the recommendations of health officials.
By working together and following industry best practices we have reopened in the safest way possible to protect staff, artists, crew, fans, and the community at large. We believe it’s much better to take these precautions now so we can enjoy shows together rather than return to no shows at all.
Will I still have to wear a face covering?
- At the present time, face coverings are encouraged but not required. This policy may differ per individual event. Please check your event page for the most up to date information.
What if I would rather receive a refund?
- For tickets purchased through the Appalachian Theatre, refunds are available when requested prior to the event. For tickets purchased through a resale or third-party site, please reach out directly to those purchase sites.
