The Appalachian Theatre documentary

Documentarian Philip Arnold, who lives in Ohio but has deep roots in Boone and Watauga County, has been working with us for several years on a documentary that premiereed at the renovated Appalachian Theatre on November 14, 2019, the theater’s 81st birthday. The film incorporates excerpts from dozens of hours of oral history interviews conducted by the Archives and History Committee of the ATHC, as well as archival images and footage.
