The Pioneer Playmakers have won the North Carolina state championship in high school theatre! Winners of Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, and Most Distinguished Play, the 2019-2020 ensemble will perform their highly acclaimed play, “Ernest and the Pale Moon.” The show is a spine-chilling tale of obsession and murder, based upon a short story by Oliver Lansley. Join us as we celebrate over three decades of Playmaker performances and Watauga high school theatre with proclamations, testimonies, performances, special guests, and four short original plays written by the Playmakers. Proceeds from this Gala Benefit Performance will fund the Playmakers travel to Louisville, Kentucky in February where they will compete against nine other states at SETC, the largest Regional Theatre Festival in the country. Reserved seats are $15 for show only. $35 for show & pre-show party from 6:30 - 7:30. (These $35 limited seats include appetizers and drinks plus Patron level seating in the front center balcony rows AA-JJ only.)
