The High country jazz festival is A COLLABORATIVE PROGRAM OF:

The High Country Jazz Festival is a collaborative project to host exceptional and engaging jazz experiences in Boone and Blowing Rock while raising funds to support the arts, education and civic programs of the Appalachian Theatre, Boone Sunrise Rotary, and Jazz Studies Program at the Hayes School of Music.

Sponsored by Explore Boone and Mast General Store, the five-day festival features multiple events hosted by regional organizations in Boone and Blowing Rock with headliner events taking place inside the newly reopened Appalachian Theatre and under the stars at the Chetola Resort.  Festival events are anticipated to run June 9-11, 2023.

The scope of the festival is both intimate and engaging with indoor and outdoor concerts, late night jams, jazz lunches and brunches, film offerings and jazz talks.
